How to submit your Czech visa application

Please read the different steps below to learn how to submit your visa application at the TLScontact visa application centre.​

Check your document list

Before starting your application, make sure you select the correct visa type corresponding to the purpose of your stay and carefully review the list of supporting documents required for your application on this page.

Prepare your documents carefully to ensure you submit a complete application on the day of your appointment.

Create your TLScontact account

Create your personal user account by providing your email address and a password. You will then have to activate your account by clicking on the link provided in the email that will be sent to you.

Provide applicant details and complete visa form

Log in to your account and enter the required personal information for yourself and any accompanying applicants. Then, print the Schengen visa application form, which you should sign at the centre.

Gather all the required supporting documents for your visa type (see Step 1) and arrange them in the specified order.

Make an appointment

Choose a convenient date and time to submit your application at our visa application centre.

Families of five or more members (parents and their minor children) may request assistance with appointment booking.

To submit a request, please contact our call centre or send us an email. Proof of family relationship and your registration reference number will be required.

For tourist visa applications:

Appointments are assigned automatically. You will be notified as soon as an appointment becomes available.

Don't forget to print your appointment confirmation letter: you will need to provide it on the day of your appointment.

Important:

  • Please ensure that your intended travel date is at least 15 days after the date you submit your visa application. Applications for travel within the following 15 days cannot be accepted.
  • You can submit your visa application up to 180 days before your departure date for a short-stay visa.
  • Visa applications must be submitted no later than 15 days before your intended travel date to allow sufficient processing time for the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
  • Please note that your visa application will be processed by the consular authorities. TLScontact is in no way involved in the decision-making process.
  • Processing times are outside TLScontact's control and may vary depending on the type of visa and the time of year you apply.

Submit your application

Please arrive on time for your appointment, with your appointment confirmation letter and the supporting documents required for your visa application. 

Your application and supporting documents will be verified against the requirements of the Czech consular authority and your biometric data will be recorded.

Once these steps are completed, your visa application will be transferred to the Czech consular authority for processing. Please note that TLScontact is in no way involved in the decision-making process. 

All applicants aged 12 years and older must personally come to their appointment at TLScontact to submit their application. 

Please Note: In accordance with the Embassy’s instructions, applicants arriving more than 15 minutes late for their appointment will be required to book a new appointment.

Collect your passport

You will be notified once the Czech consular authority has returned your passport to our visa application centre. You can then collect your passport from our centre. You have several options: 

  1. Collect your passport in person

    You will need to bring:

    • Your application checklist;
    • Your original photographic ID;
    • Copy of your photographic ID.
  2. Collect your passport through a representative

    This person must bring:

    • Your application checklist;
    • Copy of your photographic identity card;
    • Representative's original photographic identity card;
    • Copy of the representative's photographic identity card;
    • Letter of authorisation signed by you (clearly stating the representative’s details).
  3. Receive your passport at the address of your choice

    If you have chosen the Express Courier Return service, your passport will be sent to the address you chose when you applied for your visa.
